The Assassination of America Reviewed by Bill Allen
A new research landmark has been established in the publishing of an encyclopedic resource for investigators and scholars examining the history of the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Paris Flammonde has completed the most exhaustive single effort to date to define the JFK assassination and its aftermath in a historical framework. To do this he has produced a three volume master work entitled: The Assassination of America. The Assassination of America is indeed a history of the assassination which comes from a scholar fully qualified to create such a massive study. Veteran author Flammonde originally published The Kennedy Conspiracy (HC. Meredith Press. NYC 1969) which was deemed “The best of all the Kennedy assassination books.” by Victor Lasky, syndicated columnist. He was a personal friend of District Attorney Jim Garrison and assisted his famous investigation which led to the 1969 trial of Clay Shaw in New Orleans. Historians credit Flammonde with providing key information regarding Shaw's involvement with PERMINDEX and the shadowy global umbrella group: Centro Mondiale Commerciale. Likewise his uncoveries and clarifications regarding the The Old Catholic church shed light on some of the murky background and activities of the unindicted co-conspirators. Flammonde was a member of the first generation of critics exposing the Warren Commission whitewash and enjoyed personal friendships with the original group of key researchers and authors (Eric Norden, Sylvia Meagher, Cyril H. Wecht, Bernard Fensterwald, Richard Sprague, Harold Weisberg, Bill Turner, Richard Popkin, Dorothy Kilgallen, and many latter day critics), that established the ground work for successive generations of courageous investigators and writers. Among the 1500 plus pages in The Assassination of America are a hundred and fifty pages of pictures (over 400 )and bios and more than seventy photographs of the original and latter-day scholars. Because of his seminal (and ongoing) involvement in the study of the assassination he confidently expounds on the idea that has come to be accepted by key investigators and knowledgeable historians; that the November, 1962 killing in Dallas was, in fact, a Coup D’Etat. Flammonde has tracked the ensuing events and the state of our nation and the world from that terrible event. To encompass all this material he has divided the massive effort into three volumes: Volume 1, "The Deaths in Dallas", Volume 2, "The Masques of New Orleans" and Volume 3, "Barren Harvest". Libraries, newsrooms, think tanks, and universities will see this as the single most valuable comprehensive reference work when called upon to understand the assassination, its cover-up, and ongoing obfuscation of truth of historic proportions. The first book begins with an Introduction by William Turner (author: Hoover’s FBI, Power on the Right, Invisible Witness) a Preface by Jim Marrs (author: Crossfire, Rule by Secrecy, Alien Agenda) and a Forward by Cyril H. Wecht, M.D., J.D America’s foremost forensic pathologist & medical authority on Kennedy assassination. Using a literary style honed by over forty years of writing (10 books) poetry and prose he brings a lifetime of perspective to a topic that is evermore perplexing to current generations of readers. Yet Flammonde has not gotten lost in the confusion and marshals thinking skills that were once common to his generation to illustrate to contemporary readers the key elements of the uncovered evidence and areas for future investigation. While anyone can benefit from this prodigious work, it is clearly offered to JFK assassination researchers, scholars, and organizations as well as investigators, scientists, and critics. Calling it the "penultimate work" he clearly intends it to be the basis for a future comprehensive analysis of perhaps two or three times as many volumes. The thirty Appendices alone represent a single, grand, ready-reference to the myriads elements of fact needed to understand the JFK assassination. Currently being sold exclusively through the author who is available for interview and can be contacted at "paris@assassinationofamerica.com".
