Flammonde worked with Jim Garrison during the New Orleans DA’s investigation of the roles of Clay Shaw, David Ferrie and Lee Harvey Oswald in the conspiracy to assassinate JFK. As a result of his personal involvement in that investigation and in the subsequent trial of Clay Shaw, Flammonde was on the “Trail of the Assassins” when their footprints were still warm in the Louisiana soil. The corpse of David Ferrie was barely cold, Perry Russo was still walking, Dean Andrew still talking and New Orleans had not yet been destroyed by Nature. Flammonde goes back a long way with JFK. In the process, he became one of world’s leading authorities on political assassinations, especially that of JFK, and the deaths of RFK and MLK.

Additionally, during that period, through radio and writing, Flammonde established himself as an expert on the history, facts, fictions, lore and legends of flying saucers and the parallel studies. He is a long time researcher and expert in the occult (he once studied with internationally celebrated medium Frank Decker), the psychic, as particularly evidenced in “The Age of Flying Saucers” and the mystical, “The Mystic Healers.” Incidentally, the author possesses a vast knowledge of film and jazz, and its performers, with a concentration from earliest times to 1970.

Expertise in these fields is essential in the field of "Conspiracy Science." That and a superb mastery of the English language and "word wizardry," as well. Still extremely active, Mr. Flammonde has returned to the subject of the John F. Kennedy assassination and how it changed the world in "The Assassination of America."

Integrating the Foreword by erstwhile Special Agent for the FBI and noted author William Turner, a Preface by the only other (than Flammonde) individual who has written authoritative volumes on both ufology and the assassination, Jim Marrs, with America's foremost forensic pathologist and medical expert on the assassination Cyril H. Wecht, M. D., J. D. responsible for the Foreword, it reflects the efforts of scores of other "critics." Flammonde has further integrated the work of some of the foremost experts in the JFK murder like Eric Norden, Sylvia Meagher, Bernard J. Fensterwald, Jr., David Lifton, John Newman, James Fetzer and others. It produces the massive and penultimate definitive history of the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

Flammonde appears to have resolved the great paradoxes.
